Was proficient in pilotage, dead reckoning, radio navigation and had thorough knowledge of meteorology. Completed 13 combat missions in European Theater of Operations with 8th Air Force. Had 110 combat hours.
Course in advanced bombardiering included work on D.R. navigation. Missions included Missions of Mercy over Holland, dropping food and clothes.
