Assigned to the 384th Bomb Group on Gowen Field (Boise, Idaho) Special Orders #32 dated 1 February 1943, Lyles Henderson Crew (as IVAN). Two combat missions.

Shot down on 8th AF mission #68, 26 June 1943 in B-17 42-30037. Hit by flak and attacked by fighters, the plane was crash-landed near the present day site of Deauville St. Gatien Airport in France.

There is no record of a MACR documenting this loss.
