40 P-38s from 20FG are despatched to make a high altitude sweep of the coastal areas of NW France, Holland & Belgium as a familiarization exercise. There are no losses or claims. The 8th Air Force takes a brief respite from BIG WEEK on this date. Weather is still terrible and the heavy bomber losses of the previous day demand some reorganization and re-fitting of some Bomb Squadrons. Ther are no losses, claims or casualties.
