Description

1 B-17 from 482BG was despatched on a special night operation to Huls, Germany. Aircraft dropped 2 2000lb general purpose bombs an a 1000lb photoflash in an "Oboe"test. No losses or claims.

Also 4 B-17s from 305BG/422BS were despatched on a night operation to drop leaflets on the cities of Bremen, Oldenburg and Hamburg, Germany. 2,090,000 leaflets were dropped. Ther are no losses or claims.

The Combined Chiefs of Staff (CCS) authorizes the AEAF to attack so-called "sky sites" in the Pas-de-Calaise area and Cherbourg Peninsula area which have been verified by RAF photography and British Intelligence as missle-launching sites.
