14 F-5s and 2 Spitfires were despatched by 7th Photographic Reconnaissnave Group to fly photo reconnaissance sorties over France. 1 F-5 was MIA, pilot KIA. Engine trouble was reported by 5 aircraft and 2 were intercepted and returned early.
