"I Got Spurs", the nickname of a reconnaissance-modified B-17 Flying Fortress of the 3rd Photographic Reconnaissance and Mapping Group, at a North African airfield. The nickname came from a pair of silver spurs given to the Group's commanding officer, Colonel Elliot Roosevelt, by the citizens of Fort Worth Texas, and then dedicated to the aircraft by Colonel Roosevelt.
