Aerial photograph of Heston looking west, 24 April 1942. Photograph taken by No. 1 Photographic Reconnaissance Unit, sortie number RAF/HLA/499. English Heritage (RAF Photography). The technical site is on the left of the airfield, the white space is where the Dawbarn hangar stood. It was destroyed by a German parachute mine on 19 September 1940.
