Lieutenant Colonel David Schilling, Flying Executive of the 56th Fighter Group, in front of his P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft. Schilling was Commanding Officer of the 62nd Fighter Squadron, when the 56th Fighter Group first arrived in the United Kingdom.
