American Flying Fortesses, operating from this country, have been rightly dreaded by the German Fighter pilots because of their terrific fire-power, but even they had an "Achilles Heel" and their opponents found it , they were deficient in frontal fire power for repelling a head on attack. The installation of two machine guns in the nose of the Flying "Forts" has [p]ut this right and they are now defended from every possible angle, making their fire power devastating for any would be attackers.
