Dad enjoying his little home office (this was 1973, before home offices were “a thing” — always ahead of his time!) Anyway, 15+ years in Alcoholics Anonymous by this point, and very interested in self Bible Study, those books are all about A.A. or the Bible. This is where he typed up the Career Summary in another photo attached here. That can of soda is a Diet Shasta, which he bought by the multiple cases in all their Diet flavors. He didn’t even care if they weren’t chilled. Those plaques on the wall probably relate to his USAF career and A.A. stuff. In A.A., his name was “Big Jim A.” He installed that business-like paneling and Mom probably did the curtains. Why the aqua phone? A nice pop of color! I suspect the desk is a vintage military surplus store find, which he covered with a heavy piece of glass. He LOVED his little office/Man Cave.

Dad’s own photos and documents he left to me and my sister in his Will (she didn’t have a place to store them and I did, so I kept them to this day).

Family photos Mom took and left to us when she predeceased Dad. I turned out to be the keeper of all family photos and documents.
