IMAGEA bomber crew of the 491st Bomb Group with their B-24 Liberator (serial number 44-40205) nicknamed "The Moose" Earle A Swanson is in the first row, third from the left. Robert Albert Keller is in the first row, second from right. Photo was taken at Belem, Brazil. According to Robert Albert Keller's diary: May 16, 1944 "At 3:00 AM we got up & ate. At 5:45 AM we were taxiing out to the runway to take off for Belem, Brazil. After 5 hours of flying we crossed the equator & the Amazon River. We got to Belem about noon. When we landed the co-pilot took some pictures of the crew. The food here was poor & the whole field was rather dirty."
