Printed caption attached to reverse: FOREIGN SECRETARY VISITIS THE U.S.A.A.F Mr Anthony Eden today visited a U.S.A.A.F. Station " somewhere in England". During his visit he chatted with pilots and sat at the controls of one of the Liberator Bombers. This bomber, during on of its numerious sorties, was hit by A.A. fire before reaching the target, but made its run; delivered its bombs with precision, and managed to get as far home as the Channel, where it came down. The crew were rescued by the Air Sea Rescue Service, and the plane was salvaged, and lives to fight another day. Underneath the window can be seen the machine's record of destruction bombs showing number of bombing raids, the swastikas showing number of enemy machines shot down, and the ducks showing decoy diversionary sweeps. 25.6.43 P.N.A' [ caption].
