This is a letter recalling the events of the last mission of Cactus Jack. My father Lt. J.J. Rosa was the lead navigator in this mission (the 14th). My father apparently had written to Charles Esparza (the copilot) in 1995 to clarify the chain of events that led to him becoming a POW. I think my father was in a state of shock from his wounds while being transferred to Stalag Luft 3 and couldn't remember all the details. I came across this letter after my father died in 2006. Unfortunately, it is missing the last page. Anyway, it is very interesting account of the fateful details of this last mission. Michael Fontanarosa (son)
