Lt Elmer O Bowers 384th Fighter Squadron. P-51D 44-13822 5Y-B_ Lt. Bowers became MIA in this a/c on 19 September 1944. This particular P-51 is said to have been named "Mustang" but not visible in this shot. What is visible though is the "Varga" girl in front of the National Insignia. In the background is P-51D 44-14147 5Y-A.
