IMAGES/Sgt J T Sipkovsky [Lorain, Ohio], inspects an American Consolidated B-24H Liberator bomber (41-28641 [A5+KB] KG200 (ex 41-28641 'Chee Chee' 8th AF / 453BG /732BS) , captured by the Germans and left on the Airdrome at Salsburg, Austria as they hastily retreated. Personal note made by Major Frank E Sullivan, Gp Ops Officer, reads "Lt. Turner and full crew, on a practice mission, was apparently beaconed into enemy territory and are missing in action.
