IMAGELt Lloyd S “Scotty” Hathcock of Dayton, Ohio. A Tuskegee airman from class 43-K-SE graduating with pilots wings as a 2nd Lt 12th May 1943. Assigned 310th FS, 332nd FG, 12th AF. Captured in Italy during the summer of 1944, Lt Hathcock spent the rest of the war in Stalag Luft III and Stalag VII-A prison camps. After the war, Hathcock stayed in the service and helped to desegregate the U.S. Air Force.
