23 March 1945 - There was a major meeting of 8th Air Force fighter group CO's at Debden. They came in their colourful aircraft to make final plans to cover the Rhine crossing, Operation VARSITY, to take place the next day. Mustangs are from L-R: the 4th (nose only), the 359th 20th, 353rd, 357th, 356th, 352nd and 479th groups.
