A U.S. Ninth Air Force Bomber Station, England: The destruction caused on this Nazi supply junction railway yards at Hasselt by B-26 Marauders of the Ninth Air Force in Easter week may be seen clearly on this photo. It shows very many bomb craters, one of which is 150 feet long by 40 feet wide causing all main "through" traffic to be stopped, and creating a serious delay of war supplies to the German military machine. Hasselt is on the Antwerp-Maastricht-Aachen line, and 40 miles east of Brussels. Carriage & wagon repair shops storage sheds and other installations were also hit severely. (See also PRO-HQ-44-499A and 499B).' Censor no: 47463. On reverse: US Army Press Censor ETO and US Army General Section Press & Censorship Bureau [Stamps].
