William A Lloyd
MilitaryS/Sgt. Lloyd was a B-24 Liberator ball turret/tail gunner in the 577th bomb squad of the 392nd bomb group from 1943-1944. He flew in 18 sorties before being seriously injured by German flak over Kiel in 1944. His leg was amputated from the injury and he was discharged from service. He received a air medal with 3 oak leaf clusters and a purple heart for his service.
