On ferry flight to 8th AF, B-24J #42-109797 crashed while landing at Marakech on 31 Jan 1944. RTD. Continued ferry flight in B-24J #42-100286 on 5 Feb 1944 and never arrived at destination and apparently crashed at sea. Killed in Action (KIA).
