Killed in Action (KIA) Crashed at Bauscheim in B-24 #4250897. All who knew him called him 'Tommy'.Started out in the 448th Bomb Group and after Pathfinder training went to the 489th. Was leading a 20th Wing Mission when killed by direct flak burst on 9/9/1944- it would have been his 25th mission.

Mainz, Germany 9 September 1944 - 9 September 1944 Killed while leading -as pathfinder -a 20th Bomb Wing stategic mission against the marshalling yards at Mainz Germany.
Amityville New York New York, Amityville Long Island. Father was Dentist. He was a student at St Joseph's Mountain School in Monticello NY & Columbia University New York. Remains not recovered until years later. His mother and father spent much time after the war searching in Germany. His mother was so distraught over his loss that she took her own life.
