Stan Whalley trained on Course 24 at Falcon Field, starting on 20th November 1944 and graduating on 16th June 1945. After the war he returned to Falcon Field every year for 20 years until 2017, and in that year he took one of his daughters to fly over the Superstition Mountains with him. On that visit also, wildlife photographer Moose Peterson flew especially from Los Angeles to meet him in Mesa and record his memories which you can see here https://youtu.be/b74gOPUTye8. Stan became a Bank Manager and lived in Staffordshire. He died in July 2021 aged 97.
