NARA files verified his birth and death date, DFC, PH and AM w/12 Oak Leaf Clusters. He earned at least one bronze star device on the EAME Campaign Medal and surely merited more devices as his files show he received the first Air Medal in Sep 1943, and flew well into 1944. More than likely he earned the Good Conduct Medal as well, but his personnel files could verify that.
