MilitaryCrashed near Corbit, Lincolnshire, on a practice bombing formation in B-17F #41-24492. Cause thought to be structural failure due to dive to save life of gunner who turned blue due to lack of oxygen. Sergeants McAskill and Kellum were only survivors as they bailed out and landed safely.
