Morris A Bieler

Military

Morris Bieler was part of James Maginnis' crew. He served with the 509th Bomb Squadron of the 351st Bomb Group, flying missions out of Polebrook, England. He serviced the bomber planes. He was the first and oldest of his three brothers to enlist during the war. After the war, he returned to Fall River, MA and later moved to Boston, MA. He married Dorothy E. Kelmenson in 1963 and had one daughter, Elizabeth. In 1970, he started a pneumatics and robotics business called Controls for Automation, which he sold in 1995. My parents traveled extensively, including a trip to Polebrook in 1985. Morris retired in 1995 and lived with his wife in West Hartford, CT USA. He passed in July of 2010, two months shy of his 90th birthday.

Morris was a wonderful and devoted father, husband and brother. Family was his priority. He listened more than he spoke, which aided his success in business and in life. He was driven and humble. Those who remember him always speak of his kindness.
