Mauro Duca served with the Army Air Force in England during WWII. He was with the 78th Fighter Group at Duxford and pitched for the 78th Thunderbolts from 1943 to 1945, as well as taking part in track events.



Mauro Duca was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts. He signed with the Twin Falls Cowboys of the Pioneer Baseball League in 1939, and was with the Sherbrooke Braves in the Quebec Provincial League in 1940.
