Püttlingen, Germany 9 August 1944 The McGregor aircraft was hit by flak between the #3 and #4 engines causing the wing to fold up at that point. The aircraft flipped on it's back and went into an immediate spin. Of the 12 men aboard the aircraft, only two managed to escape.
