13 Nov 1943. B-17 #42-30213 'Lil One'. After developing severe vibrations from a runaway prop that would not feather after take-off, the crew was ordered to bail out. A/C crashed near Ipswich.
An enemy fighter collided with B-17G 42-38138 on a mission to Wrkner, Berlin on 8 March 1944 and reported to have crashed N. of Hanover. Prisoner of War .
