27 missions from 16 September 1943 to 13 March 1944. Almost failed to take off on first mission. Pilot had problems with controls. Left runway and continued in mud, nearly taking out the control tower. Name of plane: 'The Old Fox'.
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), WWII Victory, EAME.
Post war: Joined US Navy and also became a Seebee reservist.
