A poem for Technical Sergeant Harold J Johnson of the 390th Bomb Group from his sweetheart Jeanie, written in the back of a technical manual. 21 June 1943.
'From your Jeanie, to My Huckie- I thought that you would like to know that someone's thoughts go where you go. That someone never can forget, the hours we spent since just we met. That life is richer, sweeter for such a sweetheart as you are. And now my constant prayer will be, that God will keep you safe for me. June 21 1943.'
