Glenn L Robinson
Military"Iowans of the Mighty Eighth", Chapter 22 "Biographies", by Charles D Taylor.
Ironically Glenn had almost completed his commercial pilot's training when he was called to active duty, selected to train as a bombardier/navigator and then - because by then there was no need for either - landed up as an air gunner! He eventually joined the Group at Pickenham and flew on 20 combat missions, his most memorable that at low level to drop supplies to the British army, 'kicking out supplies through the bomb bay' and the attempt to hit the bridge at Remagen. Post war he attended Business school and worked for the State of Iowa Dept. of Revenue.
