Felix A Kalinski

Felix Kalinski joined the Army Air Corps and underwent a year of flight training. He was assigned to the Eighth Air Force 615 Bomb Squadron, 401st Bomb Group, and flew B-17’s, flying 26 missions between 1944-45 both as pilot and co-pilot. He was awarded the DFC with oak leaf cluster. He spent twelve years in the Air Force and had a tour as a squadron commander of B-29s and another with B-47s. Later he served in the Pentagon on guided missile programmes.
