Staff Sergeant Everett E. Russell was born March 21, 1921. His next of kin were his wife, Genevieve Russell, his sons Richard and Larry Russell, and his father, Abe Russell. He was from St. Louis, Missouri.

On February 23, 1945, he was serving as a Gunner aboard “Heavenly Hideaway,” B-24 tail #42-50449, of the 458th Bomb Group, 753rd Bomb Squadron, when it was involved in a mid-air collision over Skeyton, England.

He is buried at East Hickory Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois.
