Mission #20 "Black Tuesday" to the ball bearing works at Schweinfurt, Germany. MACR 378. S/Sgt King was fired upon as he descended in his parachute. Evaded the Germans for 9 months then picked up trying to cross the Swiss border. Prisoner of War (POW). Stalag Luft IV.
