Russell, KS 67665, USA 18 February 2000 RUSSELL ­ Edward B. Yeager, 85, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at the Russell Regional Hospital. He was born March 19, 1914, in Rozel to Wesley Ralph and Christine (Reed) Yeager. He married Maurine C. Schrock on Oct. 17, 1947, in Larned. He grew up in Macksville, graduating from Macksville High School. He attended Wichita State University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He worked for C.O. Mammels grocery chain for many years and managed stores in Larned, Macksville and Russell. He was an area store supervisor and vice president of warehouse operations in Great Bend until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, Shrine Club, American Legion and VFW posts, all of Russell. He was a member of Consistory and ISIS Shrine, Salina.
