MilitaryDamaged by fighters on the return from a mission to Regensburg, GR on 25 Feb 1944, B-17 # 42-31142 made a wheels up landing NE of Rethel, Fr. Evaded. Returned to England before 8 Jun 1944. He went on the Burgoyne/Burgundy Escape Line to Spain in May 1944.
