Shot down 24 April 1944 in B-17 #42-31529 at approximately 1345, Prisoner of War (POW) at STALAG LUFT III West Compound barracks 158 room 14, arrived on 4/30/1944, POW#4106, MACR#4146. Also held at Stalag Luft XIII-D in Nuremburg. At end of April 1945, prisoners of Stalag Luft XIII-D were marched to Stalag Luft VII-A in Moosburg, GER (known as the Moosburg March), until liberation on April 29th, 1945 by General Patton's 3rd Army.
