Claude Millington trained on Course 23 at Falcon Field starting on 5 September 1944 and graduating on 1 April 1945. Claude was born in Welshpool but mainly grew up in Birmingham where his father was an engineer. Holidays and weekends were still spent in Welshpool with his maternal grandparents. He had many friends in the area who shared his wonderful sense of humour, including coincidentally Harry Boden of Course 27. After the war Claude left the RAF as Acting Warrant Officer and became a press photographer. With his wife Nancy he had a daughter, Claire.
