Ben William Whittle

Military

Ben Whittle flew 35 missions with 401st Sqdn 91st Bomber Group and was awarded the DFC for shooting down an FW109.



He enjoyed the 91st BGMA reunions, particularly that of 1984 when seven members of his crew were re-united. After the war he worked for Hines Motor Supply for 39 years, was a keen hunter and fisherman, a Mason and member of the VFW.
