Military ROLL OF HONOURAssigned to 334FS, 4FG, 8AF USAAF. His aircraft P-51B 43-6787 was struck in coolant system shortly after his section engaged and downed two ME-109’s. Attempting to nurse his a/c back over friendly territory, he stayed with a/c too long, bailing out moments before it crashed. He was seen to strike the ground ten yards from the crash at Niederahr, his chute unopened. KIA. MACR 11521.
