He attended Ulster school & graduated from Sayre High School in 1938. He attended Lehigh University & Clarkson College before enlisting. He joined the Army Air Force as an aviation cadet in January 1942, & was called to duty in August of that year. After classification as a bomber pilot, he underwent training at various schools in Washington & Texas, graduating with a commission & wings in Waco, Texas, May 24, 1943.
Shot down 11 December 1943 in B-17 #4231020. Killed in Action (KIA).
