The image is of a TB-17F- 40/45- VE, "Argonaut II" which is not to be confused with the B-17F-70-BO. The B-17 was not part of the 351st Bomb Group, 508th Bomb Squadron, however the crew shown here was the Barry crew, assigned to the 388th BG, 562nd BS. It is presumed this photo was taken in the U.S., around March 1943, though that has not yet been confirmed. Personnel from the Barry Crew 388th BG/562ndBS: Robert A. Barry (pilot), K.L. Crider (copilot), A. Freed (navigator), W.H. Menger (bombardier), G.K. Hoyt (radio op), W.A. Toles (engineer), RL Barger (ball turret), H.W. Cooper (right waist), H.G. Hampton (left waist), S.
