Gerald Witt's 384th Bomb Group flew out of Grafton Underwood England on a mission to the Bremen, Germany ship yards. Their B-17 plane named “Shady Lady” left with a group of 50 planes.He was shot down on this first mission November 26, 1943. POW at Stalag Luft l,Barth, Germany until May 13,1945.
