The wreckage of a B-17G Flying Fortress (serial number 43-38397) of the 349th Bomb Squadron, 100th Bomb Group that has crash-landed at Chalon-sur-Saône ,Burgundy, France . Printed caption on reverse of print: 'B-17G 43-38397 - 100th BG - 349th BS. Was abandoned by its crew (their first mission!) over Eastern France and crash-landed at Fontaines (near Chalon-sur-Saône) on Tuesday 6th February 1945.'
