Aircraft, b-17, 43-38303, 388th Bomb Group H, 563rd Group Squadron. Aircraft was on its 26th Mission on 3 Oct 1944. To Nuremberg Germany in the lead position but had to drop out due to heavy battle damage and fuel problems and try to return to England but crash landed in Clavier Belgium. All the crew survived including my Dad S/Sgt Jesse O Watson Jr.
