2nd Lt Casimir Krowiak’s P-47 #42-76220 was shot down by an enemy fighter on an 8th AF Bomber support mission to Reims, France on 27 April 1944. Crashed 1km SE of Beuvardes, 10km NNE of Château-Thierry, Aisne Department, France. [ MACR page 7 : "crashed 1km SE of Rosay", which is too far West to be correct. And the German document KUJ-923 mixes Beuvardes with Beauvais, stating it crashed 2,5km S of Beauvais"...] Pilot Casimir Krowiak Killed In Action (KIA). Missing Air Crew Report – MACR 4326.
