lost one engine en route and turned for home, second engine started to malfunction, ordered crew to bale out, pilot Maj Charles M Parrett was fatally injured when his chute snagged the aircraft's tail during egress. Crashed 3 miles SE of Dinant, Belgium 28-Oct-44. 1 x KIA. 3 x RTD. MACR 15869.
