Missing in Action Wiener Neustadt 10 May 1944 with Pilot Stanley N. Dwyer, Co-pilot: Manley H. Dale Jr, Navigator: Francis G. Gilhooley, Bombardier: Prestcott C. Piper, Flight Engineer/Top Turret gunner: John J. Boros, Tail gunner: William Olfenius (5 Killed in Action); Radio Operator: George D. Mitchell, Ball turret gunner: Eugene E. Parker Jr, Right Waist gunner: Stephen A. Milewski, Left Waist gunner: John E. Boyett Jr (4 Prisoner of War); flak, crashed near Vöstenhof, about 20km SW of Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Some mix-up in the Missing Air Crew Report numbers. 42-31685 is listed as MACR 4723 but is in fact MACR 4660 (which has the A/C Serial Number as "42-31804" and the names of the Dwyer crew...) #42-31804 was lost the same day, with Pilot Gerald F. Gowen and crashed near Lichtenwörth, 8km NE of Wiener Neustadt...
