Failed to Return FTR-MIA

Creil, France 20 December 1942 Aircraft was abandoned with little damage and crashed near Creil, France. However the BTG was killed in the attack. Shot down by EAC and Flak on raid to airfields at Rommily-sur-Seine on December 20, 1942 (8th AAF Mission 26). Pilot J.R. Mckee evade and returned to England via Spain. Co-pilot L.E. Hamaker Jr. and 6 other crew members parachuted safely from the ACand were taken POW near Creil, France. Ball turret gunner, Sgt K. Warheit KIA.
