On 17 April 1944, B-24 41-29220, on bombing mission to Belgrade, was shot down by enemy anti-aircraft fire and crashed in Mostar, Yugoslavia. 7 of the crew were Killed in Action, including the aircraft's pilot James G Price, and 3 were taken as Prisoners of War.
